ILX ILX 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

I took my vehicle into Acura and explained about this loud noise. They advised me it is normal because these cars are built to be one with the road. I took it to another mechanic and was advised something is wrong with the suspension. I'm waiting on diagnosis to figure out what's the issue.

ILX 2.0L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Right rear shock began to make noise around 50k. Eventually the right left started making noise around 60k, and now close to 70k, they are both in terrible shape. The bushings are toast and the rear suspension makes an awful creaking noise over almost every bump.

Common problem on the 12-15 Civics, which this car is based off of. Annoying, and one would think that by now, Honda could produce a vehicle with shocks that last more than 50,000 miles.
