About a year ago, I had replaced all of the electrical wiring, including the distributor, but recently my car would not start. The engine would turn over, which indicated the battery was not dead, but would not start. So I had it towed to a local auto repair in Fremont, CA.. Thinking it might have been a blown fuse, I was distraught to find it would be a whopping $600 dollars to replace the distributor.

I suppose for a car with this many miles, it's been doing relatively well. Last year (2006) I spent nearly 2k on replacing and repairing parts (near the cars actual value). Already started off 2007 with a nice 600 dollar replacement. Perhaps it will last me another few thousand miles.
