MDX Sport 3.7L V6

I have had a high opinion of Acura cars as I have purchased for my family: Integra GTS 1993, TL 1997, RSX Type S 2003, MDX 2007, but this MDX Strut problem is a sad and costly problem. I had the first set of struts change under an extended warranty policy, but now a 130k miles, it's my cost and the clunking noise is annoying-driving me batty-at low speeds on rough roads. This will be my last Acura for sure. To help me keep my cost down, I plan to personally install non electrical KYB or Monroe replacement struts.

If any of you MDX owners have taken this route, I would appreciate your comments... how to do "a work around" the error light that will come on...Thnx.
