The contact owns a 2001 Acura 3.2tl. While making a right turn at 5 mph, the front passenger side tire collapsed to the ground. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic and they stated that the lower ball joints collapsed. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not Acura certified, therefore, they would not be responsible for the repair. The manufacturer did not provide any assistance. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact has pictures. The current and failure mileages were 131,000. Updated 01-14-08. Updated 12/12/07.

The contact stated the front right lower ball joint failed while driving. The ball joint came apart, causing the collapse of the suspension, and loss of control of the vehicle. The speed was around 10-15 mph. He has taken the vehicle to the service dealer for repairs. The manufacturer has been contacted. Updated 11/29/2005 - the part number is 51210-S84-A02, superseded by Acura part 51210-S84-305.
