The vehicle has constant problems shifting into or popping out of 3rd gear. Checked the internet and Acura and Honda sent out a TSB 08-018 detailing a manufacturing problem where the 3rd gear synchronizer was omitted during assembly. Not sure how they got out of a recall, since this trouble can a sudden loss of forward movement when the transmission pops too neutral and cars following behind could rear end your vehicle since you have slowed without braking. Some web fixes are to replace transmission fluid with a GM fluid - dealer wanted over $2000 for repairs since car was past warranty mileage.
