both rear door lock actuators went out

The dealer wants $863 to fix. I found the part on-line for $43. The dealer told me it was a common problem and of course my extended warranty is over! Anyone else have this problem?

First, my rear driver's side door wouldn't lock or unlock every time when I used my FOB. Then, after a few weeks it went out all together. Next the front passenger's side door started doing the same thing, and eventually it stopped working altogether, as well. Now, the driver's door is intermittently working, and I'm willing to bet that it will go out soon as well. I can manually lock and unlock the door, but my concern is my children waiting to get into the car while I get in the car and manually unlock the door for them.

I am disappointed, as I am also having oil consumption issues with this vehicle, and Acura is not standing by their product. I had a Monte Carlo before this that gave me nothing but electrical problems, and eventually gave out on me at 180k miles. I bought an Acura (brand new) expecting it to be a worthwhile investment in a long-term reliable vehicle. So far, it has given me more problems than the Monte Carlo.

I am very disappointed with Acura's customer service, owning up to the manufacturing defects, and refusal to fix the problem. If Acura does not stand behind this product, I will never buy an Acura again.

Also posting in the oil consumption complaint section now.

One day I went to lock my car, and the obligatory "beep" signifying the car is locked didn't happen. Upon closer inspection I realized the alarm wouldn't engage because the driver's door wasn't locking. This meant anyone could open the door without tripping the alarm while every other door was properly locked. The lock would also make a creaking/groaning noise whenever I clicked the button on the key fob or the lock button on the inside of the door. The only way to make sure my car is secure is to manually lock the door by clicking the little piece by the door handle into the lock position before exiting. The rear lock on the left side is starting to creak as well, but still engages properly.
