I see from this board that other people had it even worse than I did. The first occurrence happened sometime last year. The roof starting rattling when I was driving and I called the dealership and told them. Took the car in, they kept it, said they screwed some loose screws and I should be OK. Nope, the roof starting rattling again. This time I took it in and they had it for about three weeks. I am not kidding! They replaced the roof and when I asked if they have seen this problem, they said no. I didn't have to pay for it since it was a lease and it was covered under warranty. Then the inside fabric screen was not working properly. Took it in again to have that fixed. Went through other trips to the dealership for different issues, the most recent last week. Next day after I picked my car up, the roof is rattling again. On Monday I am going to call them again. So, to the folks here who might think that replacing the roof will 100% solve the problem... not quite! Like everybody else who had the complaints about the sunroof, I guess it is a design flaw, but why Audi is not compiling these complaints and do something about it, it's beyond my understanding. When you spent that amount of money on a car, you expect a car that doesn't have this kind of issues. When dealing with Audi directly, I found them being very responsive. The dealership, on the other hand, is a different story. Service takes forever, communication is not what it should be. Dealership is Paul Miller in NJ. I intend on writing a complaint and sending it straight to Audi, with all the issues I had to deal with my Q5. I love the car, but there are some issues they'll have to fix in it. I am very disappointed so far.
