2002 Audi made a clunking noise when turning and would not shift into gear. When the consumer downshifted the vehicle from third to second gear at approximately 25 mph the vehicle made a clunk noise. The consumer stopped the vehicle and when he attempted to move the vehicle he found that it was difficult to get it into gear. A rattling noise was also heard in the front of the vehicle. Later that month the vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the axle had broken.
