The contact owns a 2000 BMW 323I. The contact stated that on May 12, 2008 while driving at 55 mph, the air bags suddenly deployed causing her to drive off the road. The air bags were placed and. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000. The current mileage was approximately 157,000.

The contact owns a 2000 BMW 323I. While driving approximately 35 mph, the air bag warning light indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The following day, the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer. The mechanic stated that the front driver's side air bag would not deploy in the event of a crash. The contact was advised that the air bag be replaced at the cost of $1,500. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 89,000. Updated 07/15/08

: the contact stated while stopping at a traffic light the contact's vehicle was rear ended. Subsequently, turning the vehicle into a 360 degree spin the vehicle crashed into a concrete retaining wall. This was a full frontal impact, and the airbags did not deploy. Seat belts were in use. However, injuries were sustained. A police report was taken at the scene. The vehicle was towed to dealer and was awaiting inspection. The manufacturer has been contacted. The contact's vehicle struck a pot hole that resulted in deployment of both sides airbags, and the driver's head restraint. He took the vehicle to a dealership, who replaced the airbags. Afterwards, vehicle experienced a blowout of the driver's side front tire which resulted in deployment of the same airbags. No repairs have been made at this time.
