For a car of this quality, a defective torque converter should be the subject of recall. Perhaps it was, but I've had cars go into the 300,000 mile range and not have this problem.

Good luck.. it's expensive to correct. Also, the drive shaft tunnel bearing generally needs replacement at 90,000 to 100,000 miles.

Otherwise, a fantastic, spirited sports car... Great engine !
