I purchased the car used. When I purchased it, it had a tiny spot on the roof about the size of a quarter. Of course I am a very short woman and didn't see the sport because I wasn't tall enough but noticed it the first time I washed the car. Now 3 years later the spot has grown to the size of medium to large lamp shade. The wind doesn't help and just keeps peeling it back that much more. My oldest son is a BMW mechanic and just loves their cars. He is also an owner of a 7 series. However, he admits that they have paint flaws and interior flaws. He still says they have the best engines in the world if taken care of will last forever......but what about the rest of the car? He has his share of complaints as well. As of this week, he is looking into what it is going to cost me (with his connections) to get just the roof painted. I have other complaints as well and as suggested will list them separately. Just for the record, I have owned over 12 vehicles in my life time. Some new some used but never, not one have I ever had the paint or clear coat peel off the car. To pay this kind of money and for the reputation of this company it just amazes me that they won't man up and take some responsibility. Oh, and I used to work for them part time answering phones for them for 3 years in the showroom. I am very disappointed and shocked that they have gotten away with this for so long. I will NEVER purchase another BMW.
