The '04 325i is a terrible car. So many things broke, I'm only posting one (the worst of them all). Spent 3 times the time fixing problems than driving. Only drove the car to about 117,000 miles before throwing it away.
When I was torquing down new head bolts with new cylinder head, 2 bolts stripped the threads out from the block. Had to drill those out and do timeserts to fix. With yet another new head gasket and bolts, everything torqued down fine and car was fine again. Several months later the problem returned. I checked under valve cover and find out another bolt had stripped out of the block - so I give up with this car.
