My situation is power supply related, my headlights and part of my cluster display cash board began flickering, making an electrical noise and with the switch on off possition the lights did not want to tuirno off. I notice this on around June of 2018, I was driving on my way home from eating pizza, smell something like burn plastic, I asked my wife do you smell something like burn rubber", she said yes but were is it coming from", I paid not much mind to this later when I got home I smelled it again, lfelt the car some what hot but the samel was not strong so I paid no min, after a few weeks I had to change a water hose then another water hose, the when I tuern the car off the lights on the car and the triangle hazard light did not want to turn off even with the light switch on the of possition. My 2009 328I BMW was left at the autorized BMW service center in guaynabo, P.R. on the 18th of augost 2018 and is still at this service station but always come with an excuse to what the problem is, I know its recall related because its an electrical situation but the advisor at the servicice center always says its not recall related, at first they said they fixed the light probnlem but the noise continiued and that the noise came from the radios amplifier, then they said it came from tyhe cars fuse box, noe they say its the cars cas but tha this is not recall related, I told them that if this cas is the codified key entry that this should be recal;L related because its a power supply component and thats an electrical part so its recall related, they said its not related but that they have sent for the part and would be arriving on the 2ed of November of 2018 and they will inform me when the part arrives and that they are going to pay for the part and the service.

The right tail lights' turn signal start flickering with the light error signal in the dash, I researched it to find out that they have been several service bulletins out about the rear turn signals getting corrosion. I called the dealer and they stated it was out of warranty and they would not pay to fix it. They stated they knew the service bulletins were out but it was not a recall. After further searching I found out the older models had a recall to fix this issue. If they know they have an issue then why don't they fix it.

While driving back from gulf shores Alabama my headlights started flickering on and off while driving on the highway the power went off on the radio lights on the dashboard went off the steering wheel locked up and an sos button came on. The windshield wipers stopped and it was torrential rains and total darkness on interstate 75. When I could see well enough to get over to the brim I googled the codes that were flashing and was given further instruction on how to get my car started again. The headlights flickering on and off and visibility ( with the rain ) was impossible. Several various codes continued to pop up and this happened until we arrivd at our destination. It was if the whole computer board had gone haywire.every code imaginable came on and we had to stop to figure out what to do to get the car going. Since then my BMW will not start unless the battery is charged. It says battery discharging or battery was disconnected so I have to keep battery cables with me at all times. So last night I'm having the airbag code come on which I do have a recall on that, as well. I have taken several pictures of the various codes involved which I will attach.

Vehicle was purchased used from dealer with faulty right rear turn signal. Upon researching, there is a tsb on this issue and models built prior to mine were the subject of a recall. This is a recurring issue on this model and it is affecting vehicles manufactured after BMW claims to have fixed the issue, resulting in undue hardship to owners. The replacement part, which BMW won't make available for purchase, has to be replaced by the dealer at a cost of over $500 on average.

Upon returning to seattle, wa, since I flew down to berkley, ca to purchase my vehicle, I noticed excessive headlamp shake when going over any bumps on the highway, especially expansion joints. Both left and right headlamps shake equally as bad, and I consider that a safety hazard while driving. It is very distracting and searching many online forums, people have been having many issues with the adaptive headlamp bracket arms being broken. Cpo warranty does not cover headlamps according to BMW, and they are not willing to pay for both replacements.

I took my car into eastbay BMW for a lightbulb change (a tail/brakelight) and the technician noticed the housing of the taillight is melting on both sides, not just the one that needed a light bulb change. He mentioned it was part of a recall and then the representative said, that my car wasn't included in the recall. BMW has stated that it probably isn't the light bulb and that even though this isn't something that I have caused, that they are not responsible. They agreed that this is a faulty part, but is not covered under any recall or warranty. BMW offered to pay half the repairs which my responsibility is $475, which seems like they are admitting some fault in the matter. I have called BMW customer relations and the representative [xxx] said she isn't willing to escalate the issue because she knows it won't go anywhere. In addition, I did some research and there were over 241,000 BMW's recalled for this same reason that the cars were older than mine and out of warranty. Since this is occurring on both sides and not just one, it seems that part, the electrical receptacle is producing too much heat on both sides and therefore melting the taillight which is a major safety issue and should be considered part of another recall & therefore fixed at no cost to the consumer. Thank you. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

2009 BMW 328I, the directional light at times blinks rapidly and a warning of light problem illuminates. The directional blinks fast and light is dull on exterior tail and front lamps. At times works normally and then begins to blink rapidly with a bell warning and electrical warning light sign displays. This problem has known to BMW as the service dealers received a bulletin. Will not cover if out of warranty but seems to be a common issue enumerated by many customers.

I think BMW needs to look into a recall for the tail lights on the 3 - series models from 09 and up. The circuit board for the led signal lights malfunctions and some of the led's stop working. When those few stop working, it affects the entire circuit and the rest are very dim/not visible. This also causes the warning indicator on the dash to come up advising that you have a burnt out bulb. I have already had my drivers side replaced a couple of months ago and now the passenger side is having issues. There are also several others reporting the same issue online. There are many units for sale on ebay and in the item description they indicate that a few of the led's aren't working. An led circuit board that is only a few years old should not have these issues and consumers shouldn't have to pay for it. This needs to be investigates since it affects safety since the signal lights/hazardous lights don't function properly. This coincides with the recall that BMW recently did for a similar issue in other models. It's the exact same problem!
