n54 e90... water pump design is horrible its plastic housing tends to crack. thus it leaks... the replacements are no better... there of reports of people having them die in 4 months.. continental/VDO water pumps sucks... which are OEM for BMW.

bmw needs to make these water pumps out of metal... also relocate the controls electronics for the pump in cooler area like some other designs... the pump is right near the exhaust manifold and radiator... how much harsher can the enviroment be? relocate the senstive electronics to the ECU box.

this design sucks... please fix.
