The contact owns a 2004 BMW 745I. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number10V446000, service brakes, hydraulic power assist vacuum and took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs. The dealer informed the contact that the brake vacuum pump was leaking and needed to be replaced and it was not a part of the recall. The contact stated that replacing the hose would only be a temporary repair that would cause future problems. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The current and failure mileages were approximately 58,500.
