Summary
Electric Vacuum Pump Intermittent Failure. The check engine light (CEL) is illuminated and the MSA malfunction check control message is present. No electric driving is possible. This situation may be intermittent or permanent. The following fault codes are stored in the Electric Machine Electronics (EME): * 2202ED - Brake-servo assistance: Mechanical ventilation flap control blocked, time threshold 2 exceeded * 2202EC - Brake-servo assistance: Mechanical ventilation flap control blocked, time threshold 1 exceeded CAUSE Internal mechanical failure of the electric vacuum pump. If intermittent, this leads to reduced vacuum and thus the associated fault codes. If not repaired, the amount of damage to the pump will increase to the point of a permanent failure.
