The contact owns a 2003 BMW X5. The contact stated that there was a abnormal burning odor. The contact then noticed that the driver's side seat heater had malfunctioned and burned a hole through the leather. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 90,000.
