I have taken the vehicle to several mechanics (certified and the like). All say that it will cost more to fix than it's worth.

X5 X-drive 48i 4.8L V8

It has been almost a year to date that my X5 developed another oil leak. I had been doing some reading about my model since the last post so I kinda knew it was coming. This time instead of being the right side valve cover leaking it was "THE INFAMOUS ALTERNATOR BRACKET SEAL". This is a tough job even for the technicians. Had one garage tell me that he would rather not fool with this. I really like the sound and power of the V8 but should've gotten the inline six. Think I'll be making change soon and it will not be " B" ig " M" oney "W" asted".
