I took my car in to the BMW dealership to see if they could tell me what the problem was and if it could be fixed. They told me that my car was included in a class action suit and that I may not have to pay anything. They gave me a loaner car and said that they would be in touch with me later in the week because there was a back up of cars that needed to been seen ahead of me.

About four days later they called and said that I would need to pay $3,700.00 in order for them to do the inspection to see if my engine was in fact included in the class action suit. This was supposedly because the engine needed to be running at 100% before they could test it. Now, if there is an engine defect that is covered by this so called class action suit, how is my engine going to be running at 100% if its defective? Makes no since, but what do I know, I'm just a woman at a car lot alone, and clueless.

For all I know they could just be taking my $3,700.00 and not giving me any of what I am owed to from the class action suit. I then emailed and called BangClassSettlement (who's handling the lawsuit), but there was just an automated response for both, extremely unhelpful. I'm out of $3,700.00 and will probably never receive whatever they so called are promising people through this sham "class action suit", and I could have gotten my truck fixed somewhere less expensive. Its probably rigged just to get you to bring your car in to trick you into paying more money. What a rip off!

I just want BMW to know that the 2011 X5 I purchased pre-owned almost 2 years ago is the biggest piece of crap automobile I have ever owned, and it is now causing my family to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy because it cannot be driven, I cannot sell it like it is, and I owe almost $26,000 dollars on it!

The electrical system failed once and it was supposedly repaired at a cost of over $2,100 dollars, the front axle sheared off while I was driving with my young daughter, it burns oil and smokes terribly and I have to pour a quart of oil in every 500 miles or less, the rear glass exploded and the rear power door struts failed, and I can go on and on. I will make it my mission now to leave damning feedback on every BMW forum and owner opinion site I can find! I want to thank BMW for single-handedly ruining my family's finances!
