Summary
"Various Interior Ambient Light Malfunctions Occur. The interior ambient light malfunctions with one or more of the following symptoms present: 1. The ambient light in the door trim lights up in the wrong color (LED module). 2. The ambient light is brighter on one side in the dash panel than on the other. 3. One of the ambient lights does not light up on the driver's side of the dash panel or door panel. 4. A group of ambient lights is malfunctioning. CAUSE One of the following could be the root cause: a. Remove the affected door trim panel for inspection per ISTA Repair Instruction 5141000, ""Removing and installing 1. An incorrect fit between the LED module and fiber cable 2. Connections on the LED modules in the door panel are not fitted correctly. 3. The LED module in the door panel and/or the dash panel is not locked correctly in the mounting bracket, or the fiber optic cable on the LED module is broken. 4. The BDC (Body Domain Controller) is missing initialization and automatic addressing of all LED modules."
