We have had so many problems with our rims it is unreal! I have spent a fortune at air pumps due to the fragility of the rims and the spontaneous cracking for no reason, other than normal driving (please note, I baby this thing, and will not go near a pot hole, since the first rim issue not even at 2 mph). The cheapest I can find a replacement rim is $600, for another aluminum wheel, that will be just as fragile as the one's that are on it now, is a waste of money. I have looked everywhere for steel rims, or anything not aluminum, but the bolt pattern assures that cannot happen. Apparently (as said by a wheel dealer), "Buick doesn't want their vehicles on the road with junk rims, so they make sure only theirs will work!".... due to the fact that we have not had problems with just one wheel, it's all of them, I don't want aluminum!!!! However, I will compliment the brilliance of their design that allows only their rims to fit. A brilliant way for them to make more money! I have searched and searched for other rims and cannot find anything that'll work for this car!!! I had to get air 11 times yesterday to drive 18 miles! Something has got to give, I'm DONE! (The past year we've replaced rims, and had at least 8 repaired. Here we go again!) UGH!!!

aluminum wheels leak

So far I had almost every problems that could occur, and of course all of those right after warranty period of 80,000 km. Fortunately I had an extended warranty, so, tie rods, wheels bearings, brake cylinders and calipers, air conditioner compressor, transfer case, ( I am sure I did forget a few) Almost all under extended warranty except brake cylinders and calipers. But today the sh*t hit the fan, I always had low pressure indication on tires few times a week for a while, I was to the point to install a video to find out who's tricking on me over night, till I went to MIDAS to check-out if I had a nail on all tires, and found out instead all 4 aluminum wheels are bad quality, meaning like the rest of the car. Indeed all wheels are spotted and have fragments falling off all over but also around the tire seat. Could not be at a better location. Tomorrow I will find out if under warranty or not, but frankly speaking for such supposedly high end car, I am expecting to at least get decent quality components, not crap falling apart one after the other.
