Enclave

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Every time it rains, the car won't start or won't shut off. Water is leaking into fuse panel under glove box. I had it taken to dealer and they couldn't find a problem.

It has left me stranded 6 times because of this. Dealer says they don't see issues with Enclave leaking. They say to replace fuse panel is around 1200. I'm not paying that when I had it in once and it was under warranty. Now it's now - and I have to pay out of pocket.

Enclave

  • Automatic transmission

Bought a 2012 enclave back in September from Stokes Brown Toyota. Less than 3 months in, the engine light would not go off and the back windshield won't not turn off. Took the vehicle back to the dealership and they could not understand the code. I was told to take the car to Vaden Chevrolet. It took Vaden 3 days and 1000 dollars later. They had to fix something in the electrical system. The vehicle has a sunroof and all of these issues occurred after a big rain. Got it fixed finally.

Today about 2 months later drove the car to work, it was fine. I get off shift and it had been raining all day. Guess what. The engine light is on again and the car would not turn over.

I believe the rain water is getting into the electrical system.. so i will have to wait and see, if this is something that will resolve with the "dry weather" or will it cost me more money to fix.

I will either have to trade this in or let it go back. This is ridiculous. I am so disappointed in the Buick Enclave.

Update from Jan 25, 2017: So, I speak with the rep from the local Chevrolet Buick dealership. They called and said it was the battery. So I purchased a new battery and they installed it. Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle the service manager informs me that the car won't start. " It's the darndest thing. I have never seen this. No engine light, but won't turn over". No techs available to look at it at 550pm. so the vehicle was brought in on Monday, could not pick up on Tuesday and today is Wednesday. I call to follow up and I am told by the service personnel that the problem came from a leak in the window and the water seaped in and damaged the "electrical switch". So the dealership is calling GM to get them involved to see if they will pick up some of the cost. I spent 1000.00 bucks 2 months ago and right now the cost is at another 1000.00 bucks. this will be my last GM product............
