All 4 windows have failed. One of them twice! my dashboard is separating exactly the same way many others have described theirs. I initially had major battery issues (battery is located under back seat on driver's side - how weird is that?). I would drive my car to the store, come out, and it would not start. One time, I opened the trunk to get my jumper cables and when I slammed the trunk lid, the radio came on! then, of course, the car started just fine. After owning this possessed car with major reliability issues for several months, we found an electrical mechanic who discovered a lose wire in the manufacturers electrical work which was somehow connected to the battery. My gas gauge hasn't worked in years. I am always at 3/4 to a full tank. This is otherwise a great car, but I am seriously disappointed that Buick will not stand behind some of these repeat problems, especially the electric motors for the windows and that horrible plastic part that continues to break. Somebody from Buick should read these complaints and do something.

The dash pad on my 2001 Lesabre, which my elderly mother previously owned and maintained well, has buckled and pulled up from the dash board right above the steering wheel. It has pulled out of the defrost panel on the driver's side and curls up and is becoming an obstruction to my view. I am unable to reattach it and worried that as it continues to pull out to the passenger's side, it will possibly activate the airbag. I have researched and found this to be a problem for multiple years of the Lesabre model and GM has not addressed it. I've never seen this happen with other older car models and understand that it has been a problem for the Lesabre for some in the early years of ownership.

Dash on 2001 Buick Lesabre has separated, starting on drivers side and going across to passenger side. I am concerned it can cause airbag to inflate causing an accident. Local dealer said it would have to be replaced for approx. $1000.& 2 body shops refused to repair. Another shop will replace for $800 to $900 or repair by removing windshield for $400. I know this is a serious problem on 2000 thru 2005 Buick lesabras.

Earlier this summer, June or July, I took my Lesabre in to my dealer where I purchased the car used (in 2006) because my dash had been separating for quite some time. I thought there may have been some sort of recall or technical bulletin for the dash problem, only to find out that they had never seen a problem like mine before. Their suggestion was to replace the dash at a cost of nearly $900 and they couldn't be certain that it wouldn't happen again. I had posed the question about the separation causing problems with the air bag system since I had read something about it online. The dealer said they didn't think it would cause a problem. They finally had a service tech come look at the dash and he said he would just "glue it down", put a couple screws through the dash and buy an aftermarket dash cover "if it were him" and sent me on my way. The dash has continually been separating more and more since then. Finally, on the 24th of November 2010, as I was driving down a local highway, my air bag dash light came on and the audible alarm sounded. I immediately moved my seat back and went home asap. I looked at the manual to find out that when the air bag light was on it meant that the air bags could 1) not deploy during an accident or 2) depoly at any time without reason. This is a major safety concern and should be dealt with by the factory / dealer / carmaker / etc. This is, in my opinion, no doubt caused by the separating of the dash panel from the rest of the vehicle. Please consider this dash separation as a legit problem and something that needs to be taken care of. I can't understand having to pay nearly $900 to fix a problem that many, many people are having due to poor design on the part of Buick / General Motors. An air bag deployment during normal driving will most certainly lead to an accident and possibly a fatality...unacceptable!!!
