Regal LS 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 366,000 miles

First of all I have a recall on 2000 Buick Regal. The recall for the oil leaking on the engine has no set remedy. A previous recall for the same problem in 2009. Of course the problem is not fixed. The remedy GM has provided is to not park in a garage in case of fire, what the hell is that?. What if I'm driving and it catches on fire, then what? I die right? Cool GM my life is in your hands. -_-

Regal LSE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,000 miles

This car sunk me! I have been without transportation three years because of the debt this car has caused. I listed this problem which had me inches from a t-bone in the middle of an intersection.. while turning left everything just seized: steering, brakes everything.

I truly don't have time to for the other 7 (yes seven) severe mechanical problems which cost me in excess of $3,800. 400 fuel line, 1,400 gaskets blown, 300 clogged lines, 1,100 electrical, other miscellaneous "repairs" which were obvious scams since nothing and I mean nothing fixed this plague.

Finally, I'm able to start looking for a $2,500 Hyundai (thanks to recommendations on this site:) through a private seller but I'm doubtful there are any honest people out there anymore...

Regal 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

I had an issue with vehicle performance in April 2014, car started running rough, had loss of power, checked code - random/multiple misfire. I took the car to my mechanic, after about a week he found a broken valve spring. I am now facing the same issue / code in January 2015. Beware of this issue. I do not know if this was a bad batch of springs, but my mechanic saved the broken spring and I still have it to this day.

Again, I have no use of the vehicle and am facing another huge repair bill. The car has horrible performance, the entire vehicle shakes, you can smell the foul emissions. The first repair cost almost $600.00, and now less than one year later I am facing the same issue. I advise that if you have this issue get all valve springs replaced.

Regal Supercharged V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

150 miles from home sudden power loss...Almost no acceleration...Very slow advance from stops to max 55-60 mph..."Limped" home ...Discovered "blower" drive belt failed....Discovered the idler pulley and the belt tensioner pulleys "floppy" and "bearings rattle"....Poor bearing quality..These are "sealed" bearings with "permanent" lube....Loss of lubricant caused extreme wear and failure of bearings sufficient to cause failure of belt....Apparently the supercharger, even when not "called into service," provides needed air for engine to operate normally....Loss of power was dramatic...Big car felt like it was running with a 1 liter engine !!!!....Engine started and ran smoothly, but no power to speak of....See more complaints about this vehicle...
