This problem likely inherent with all vehicles/brands using these new headlights...They are very bright, but the beam "included vertical angle" is so narrow that ALL street and highway signs are only illuminated when vehicle is too distant for normal eyesight to read..Our older vehicles with the "old rectangular sealed-beam" headlights, though not as bright, were much more effective because they illuminated signs at a "normal vision readable" distance...Another irritating aspect of these new "super-bright" headlights with their narrow vertical angle is when on left hand lane is tuning to his left to cross in front of you....Many intersections have a SLIGHT RISE and EVEN WHEN THAT VEHICLE'S IN DIM, THE LIGHT HITS YOU MOMENTARILY AS IF IT WERE A LASER BEAM !!!!....The "older" sealed-beam lamps were much better as they were sufficiently bright to illuminate street/road for adequate distance, didn't "blind" oncoming vehicle (even when "bright") and were safer because ALL SIGNS WERE ILLUMINATED !!!!...Specific safety issue: warning/stop signs at street corners do not get illuminated because their "standard" installation height is beyond the angle these new lights can reach (When vehicle being approximately 150 feet or closer to signs, these signs are "shadowed")...EX: Traveling thru Iowa a couple of weeks ago (Mpls to St. Louis)...Hwy 218 at night I was unable to read curbside signs without slowing down and deliberately turning toward curb to illuminate signs....Apparently the horizontal spread (angle) is also diminished....We older folk "see" the difference...We have traveled and do travel the same streets with both the older vehicles and the newer ones...Many drivers have no basis of comparison because their driving experience consists of only the newer vehicles with these LOUSY NEW headlights !!!...See my other complaints..Specific to this vehicle...
