Regal CXL Turbo 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160,000 miles

I have a 2011 Buick Regal CXL. At about 160K I had to get the engine rebuilt due to the timing chain teeth snapping and it caused a valve to get bent and it would not turn back on (No Warning Given). I also had to get the tranny changed out a month after I fixed the engine and now I am still having issues. It appears as if I lose power and the engine starts running rough when I take a sharp turn that requires me to turn the steering wheel at full tilt. It goes away as soon as I shut off the car and turn it back on - it does appear like these cars have issues with the power steering also. It's a beautiful car but when it gets up in mileage problems will occur. I have put in about 4k in repairs after it hit 160k.

Regal CXL 2.4L 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,847 miles

First transmission issue in my entire life. Wife's daily driver, this car was never abused. One year over the 5yr/100K warranty got me zip in compensation.
