Regal TourX Essence 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,400 miles

When driving and turning left, I noticed what I can only describe as a green gear wheel appear on the DIC. It was located next to the D shift indicator to the right of the odometer and door ajar indicator.

There is no documentation to describe what this means. The dealer has searched for information and I have been all over the WEB. Nothing found. I have to assume that since its green it is not an issue. However I would like to know what it means. Incidentally its hard to see since when your turning the spokes on the steering wheel obscure most of the indications.

Once again as the manual is not specific to this vehicle. and there are no updates online

Update from Jul 25, 2019: Since this vehicle is Permanent all wheel drive, I do not think the green symbol comes on to indicate that four wheel drive is active. If that was the case it would be on all the time. Perhaps it means that the rear wheels are turning at different speeds while cornering.
