CTS

  • 12,000 miles

I leased a 2003 CTS. At 2,800 miles the car would pull to the right and sometimes to the left. I brought it into the dealership to have it looked at. Service Dept. said there was nothing wrong. So we went back and forth with this. As time went on the road noise got loader. At less than 12,000 mi. Service Dept. said the tires were cupped. They also said there were others with the same problem, but GM doesn't warrantee the tires. Service manager admitted the tires are too soft and that they would go bad at 10,000. GM was given my case and a long time went by before they said they would not replace the tires. What to do? Dan P. From MI

CTS

  • 26,000 miles

I am very upset about this because at 9,000 miles the tires were worn. So worn they would not inspect the car. I was shocked. They told me they wouldn't do anything about it at the dealership. I called GM and complained. They told me that I would have to pay first then they might do something, so I did. They did nothing so I wrote many letters and finally they reimbursed me. But now at 26,000 miles they are completly worn again. By the way I've had two flat tires with these cheesy tires they have put on a "luxury" car. I also think somehow the other problems I am having with the brakes and alignment problem are interrelated with the tires.

CTS

  • 9,000 miles

The tires looked like they were wearing too quickly, while bringing in for inspection and oil change asked to check them at the dealership. they called and told me they could not inspect my car as the tires were too worn in the front. they told me this was due to alignment problem. they just had the car 2 months ago and they said it was fine. now here i am at 9000 miles on my car and my front tires are bald. there has to be something wrong as tires should not wear this quickly nor should the car be this badly aligned within this period to cause this type of damage. Either they should have noticed something wrong 2 months before or this car has a design problem or I have gotten a lemon as there have also been two other warranty issues with it which I will document further on another complaint. I am in the process of dealing with Cadillac on this. They have set up a claim, but I am not sure if they will do anything money-wise.
