problem #2

Aug 012016

CTS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,000 miles

Only 19,000 miles (18,000 since the problem has occurred) on my 2008 CTS. The radio either blacks out or gets frozen intermittently and is only able to work again after turning off the car, opening & closing the door, locking the car, and then starting it back up. Very annoying.

CTS AWD 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,232 miles

I can't believe a car with less than 26,000 miles loses the the main control panel. not only did it black out but you have no climate control or radio. Diagnostics cost me $252.00 plus replacing the center console control head assembly(radio/climate control) for $550.00. the repair was $850.00. I was so disappointed because I loved the looks of the car and I thought Cadillac was a good name. With the competition American cars have now how can manufacturers get away with such inferior products. They deserve what they get if this is what you produce.
