DeVille 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,000 miles
The contact owns a 2001 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times intermittently. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after shifting into neutral. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician was able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The contact received a notification for recall NHTSA campaign id number: 14V355000 (electrical system). However, the parts were not available. The dealer was not able to provide a specific date when the parts would become available. DeVille 8-cyl

The engine suddenly stops running while driving with no apparent warning. At that point it is almost impossible to steer and you must stop the car and restart the engine. I have had repeated problems with this and have heard of other Cadillac Deville owners having this problem. I had my car in to the dealer for the problem last week and it happened to me again today.
