The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Srx. While driving approximately 50 mph on normal road conditions, the contact heard a loud noise outside the vehicle. The wheels locked up and failed to operate. The driver felt that this was a life-threatening situation because the vehicle just stopped without any warning. Roadside assistance was called to the scene and the vehicle was towed to her residence. An independent mechanic inspected the vehicle and stated that the front end differential failed. The vehicle is in the process of being towed to an authorized dealer for repair. The failure and current mileages were 80,000.
