The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. While driving various speeds at night, the headlights failed to operate correctly and the driver was unable to see the roadway. The contact stated that the low beam lights failed so the high beams had to be activated. While the vehicle was at the dealer for routine service, the sun roof was left open and the interior of the vehicle became wet. The vehicle was left at the dealer for three months with water inside the vehicle. The dealer finally replaced the carpet; however, since retrieving the vehicle from the dealer, it experienced electrical issues and the headlights failed to operate correctly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the headlight lenses were cleaned. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The failure mileage was unknown.

The rear power lift gate door on my 2010 Cadillac Srx (23,000 miles) recently started closing suddenly only seconds after opening. During the 2nd time this happened, I was struck on the back of the head and upper back. This is a very dangerous situation and could injure an adult, or worse - a child! Cadillac needs to fix this immediately. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks.

Front passenger headlight has moisture in headlight assembly. After reviewing several GM/Cadillac websites it appears this is a known issue with Srx owners and is only replaced under warranty. Light will short out over time and stop working according to other owner reports. Vehicle was recently purchased and current owner noticed the issue.

Headlight warning message that a headlight was out. Several new bulbs were tried but did not correct the problem. Also, water accumulation inside the headlight assembly. Suspect problem with false reading to message center. Research online indicates this safety problem is not an isolated issue for this vehicle. No attempt to remedy it by General Motors. Dealer quoted extremely high prices for all associated parts to try to repair.

Right passenger headlight keeps flooding with water, lights go out cant see while driving. Dealer wants $2,000 to replace. This happens very frequently. Water leaks on floor and on the electrical of passenger side from sunroof drain, I've been told the drain is too short and disconnects. These are defaults in the car, we should not have to keep paying to have fixed.

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that water leaked into the vehicle from the moon roof. It was later discovered that the tubes/drain hose failed and caused an electrical short. In addition, the liftgate failed to function. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and independent mechanic for further inspection and diagnosis. The contact was not notified of the manufacturer's service campaign (14225) from January 4, 2015 regarding the sun roof drain hose leak. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was to check with the manufacturer to determine if they may be able to provide a solution. The failure mileage was not available.

Tonight Sept. 25th, 2016 it happened again. My dashboard went completely black for a minute or two. The first time it happened was several months ago and I thought it was a temporary glitch. Both incidents occurred while driving home at night on the freeway doing 70-75 miles/hr. I'm not sure if the headlights went out as well because I'm too focused on remaining calm and keeping my eyes on the road preventing an accident from happening. The car was in motion on the freeway while this occurred. This first time it happened I was driving straight down the freeway. The second time it occurred I was exiting and taking a curve on the loop. I don't know what it'll take for a recall to happen but I hope it won't take a deadly crash to occur before they decide to have a recall for this issue. I've read on other sites this problem is a known fact with the company and yet no action has taken place to remedy this. Someone do something!

My car has push to start and the keys should detect and start your vehicle when you get in the car. The idol kept saying no remote detected. The only way to start the car was to put the keypad in the middle console. I took it to christians brothers automotive where the diagnostic said I needed to replace the keyless entry module. A week later while I was driving it, the idol on the screen said no remote detected and the car completely shut off while I'm in motion. The only way to start it again was to hold the keypad against the middle console.I took it back to christian brothers where they printed out the technical bulletin that deems this issue to be a known issue since 2010 and that I will have to take it to a Cadillac dealership where I will have to pay again for a diagnostic and whatever issues they come up with. Ron carter Cadillac doesn't have appointments available for six weeks and because this has not been made a recall, they will not warranty what they know is a known issue with the car. If I continue to pay to repair this module and it shuts off on me in the middle of traffic or at high speeds, I could be seriously injured or killed. I don't understand the purpose of providing a technical bulletin that you don't intend to make a recall when you know it's an issue.

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the driver side low beam headlight failed to illuminate. The dealer diagnosed that there was water intrusion and that the light fixture needed to be replaced. The dealer did not specify if a seal fractured or if there was a remedy for the short circuit electrical failure other than replacing the low beam head lamp assembly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and indicated that there was no manufacturer recall to cover the repair. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.

Headlamp condensation causing lamp to go out sometimes will come back on. Should not be happening. Never had another vehicle have this issue. Should be a recall to fix this expensive condensation and lamp. Police enjoy stopping vehicles with no light! this has beenoccuring over last 6 months more off than on. Rain really makes worse. Condensation never completely goes away and inside indicstor light stayson all the time 24/7. #2 another issue is sun roof will not shut. Window will close but cover stops half way and will not advance any further. Had taken to baker Cadillac in charleston, SC for service March 1 2016. Worked on it for 2 days and told not fixable. Why is it not fixable? recalls should be issued on these problems Srx owners are having on these luxaury vehicles.

The headlamp on the driver's side filled with condensation and water. The low beam went out. It came back on after a frost. It went out again while I was driving. The next day the high beam and other lights were out. Today, the high beam is working. Because of the faulty headlamp, I received a ticket. Some 2010 Cadillac Srx vehicles have a recall for this problem, others don't. minedoesn't because it is from another factory.

I have noticed that it has been a lot of complaints about the headlights on Cadillac Srx and it is very expensive just to replace the part. The light joust goes out if your driving or not and it should be a recall on this before someone has a serious accident.

The rear lift gate electronic control module is a manufactures defect. The sunroof drain apparently is a manufacturers defect and does not function properly. It does not drain and as a result allows water to short out and destroy the electronic control module. The first time this occurred was while the vehicle was under warranty. There was a recall on the drain that should have fixed the problem but it did not. The rear lift gate became inoperable again this time becoming completely inoperable. The Cadillac dealer david taylor blamed the sunroof drain once again would not warranty their past work nor their future attempts to solve the problem saying only that at any time the drain could become clogged again causing the control module to short out and if it was past one year or twelve thousand miles that I would just have to pay another grand to have it fixed again. So basically a recall item a manufacturers defect that is aresponsibility of Cadillac is now a reoccurring problem that is solely the responsibility of the customer to spend a thousand dollars every couple of years for a non weather able item. This is not a motor or transmission or a set of tires this is a design defect that is the responsibility of the manufacturer and therefore the dealer. The rear lift gate is dangerous when operable due to opening and closing improperly erratically and unexpectantly possibly getting an adult child or animals limbs or extremities caught in the lift gate. Also when the lift gate becomes copletely inoperable one might have a limb or extremity caught and not have any means of opening the lift gate manually for when it stops working there is no way to release it. Cadillac is obviously aware of the defective design and manufacture of this unit and are risking consumers safety but just refuse to do anything to resolve the problem. 780000 GM lift gates recalled why not Cadillac

There was a recall on the low beam headlight plug assembly on the 2010 Srx. The faulty plug would cause the lowbeam headlights to not function. The plug would allow for the high beams to work properly but the plug would not allow the halogen lowbeam said to work. David taylor supposedly fixed this problem however a few years later the lowbeam headlights became completely inoperable causing the driver to have zero visibility while using the headlights. The highbeams would work perfectly. I argued with the dealer that it had something to do with the plug however they insisted that the problem was that the light assembly because of faulty manufacturing allowed water to enter the low beam lens and in turn cloud the lens. I insisted otherwise because there was visible condensation in the headlight assembly but none in the low beams. Unfortunately this situation had me over a barrel because the driver had already been risking their life and other drivers lives on the road while being forced to drive with only high beams or without any illumination of the road way at all. I had no choice but to spend 1500 dollars on headlights. Now regardless of the reason whether it was a faulty manufactured plug or a faulty sealed manufactured headlamp assembly the problems it poses are the same. Cadillac has a poorly manufactured headlight assembly and plug assembly that are endangering people's lives. When these low beams become inoperable the driver has zero visibility and are forced to choose between driving with their highbeams on and blinding other drivers or driving without any headlights which could cause death or bodily harm to the driver or any property or persons that the driver cannot see. Cadillac knows they have a problem but are willing to risk people's lives in order to save a few dollars. They have a faulty product that the NHTSA should resolve before there is loss of life
