SRX Premium V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,500 miles

Our 2013 SRX has an intermittent problem that makes the vehicle undrivable (for me). My wife adjusts the driver's seat to her seat position (Mem 1). Seat position is high and forward. When I enter the vehicle as a driver (Seat Mem 2, or use Key Fob 2 to unlock the car) the driver's seat will not adjust - automatically, OR MANUALLY. I am unable to move the seat down and/or back, AND UNABLE TO GET IN THE SEAT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. The problem has been to the dealer twice, and they have "reloaded the software" to no avail.

I am 30 days away from trading in the vehicle. What good is a $60,000 car that cannot be driver by one of two drivers?

This problem has been identified in other places on the web, but I have been unable to find a publicly identified solution. If you have one, please contact me.

SRX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,650 miles

I know, you said report all incidences of this but I am unable to do that at this time. I took lease ownership of Cadillac SRX 20l3 last Feb. Since that time, it has been into dealership 4 times. The driver seat is very temperamental. It will always go all the way up and all the way forward (I am short and this works for me. My husband need it way back and low. It often refuses to do this. It is so intermittent that the service department say they are unable to fix it if it is not broke. They have picked it up 4 times, and soon after arriving at the dealership, it cooperates. Last week, while in broke position, they had a man come out here to check it. He agreed it was broke, would not move to back and down position while he was here. It was arranged for the dealership to drive here, bring me a loaner (AGAIN) and take my car in. the next week (Dec 3rd) Well, lo and behold it suddenly worked the other day. I'm actually sorry it did. When it goes in, they have changed the harnesses, the sensor, and redid the computer--they tell me. They also tell me they can't fix it if is not currently misbehaving. I have talked to GM, they just get me back to the dealership. I have to think I do Not have the ONLY 2013 SRX with this problem. They tell me they have no central problem solving site to go to. That is ridiculous. I'm hoping someone will read this and give me some help
