Had to replace my 2013 Srx battery then not long after my cue system froze up I took it to Cadillac dealer as it controls heat/air/radio/etc. Another mechanic thought an update would work but nope the one guy said center stack needs to be replaced another said hmi module (same dealership) a $1500 repair but they can't get the part it's on back -order. Car hesitates when accelerating.

Since purchased new, this car has been involved in a number of recalls that have/have not been announced. The first incident occured 3 months after purchase--at slow speeds, the vehicle made a noise similar to that of worn brake pads/rotor at slow speeds. Upon my personal inspection, the blue lug nuts were less than hand tight on drivers front and passenger rear--the car was taken to dealership for first oil change and to inspect this defect--they stated that this vehicle was not part of the lug nut recall that was previously issued on other Srx models.I stated concern of the integrity of the wheel studs since they were likely stressed while driving with loose nuts, along with potential uneven tire wear, but the dealership did not agree. 6 months later, a recall was issued for door handles--the fix was removing and milling down parts and placing back on. 6 months later, the car would nearly stall out/have delayed response to acceleration after stopping at a stop sign--this could have cause serious injury if occured while pulling out into traffic (luckily never the case)-- thought this was due to wife letting gas level reach low level before refilling, but found out was electronic issue in the program (recalled and fixed). 2 months later the car does not shift well between rapid acceleration--recieved notification of another computer issue that controls the transmission. (although a card was sent in the mail notifying of this issue, this did not show up on the NHTSA website when searched). A true concern for the safety of my wife and 2 small children--additionally due to the nature of some of these issues, there is concern with the mechanical integrity of this vehcile in the future--stress on wheel studs, drawn out automatic shifting causing stress on the transmission.although many of these items have been "fixed" these corrections do not take into account other damge

Ongoing issues with the vehicle transmission and speedometer since the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was returned to legacy Chevrolet (legacy automotive of columbus, llc) reference invoice # [xxx] more that five (5) times for the same issues. Issues range from: Due to inadvertent acceleration of the engine, the speedometer read that it is traveling at 160 miles an hour when traveling at approximately 70 miles and hour. Speedometer gage does not reset and vehicle accelerates causing the transmission to lag in it's acceleration response time. To back up gallery camera error waning codes on June 18th I contacted General Motors regarding my vehicle problem and issues with getting assistance from legacy Chevrolet (legacy automotive of columbus, llc). I have been working with [xxx] a supervisor at General Motors, case # [xxx] who can be reached at 18667905700 ext # [xxx], [xxx] contacted legacy Chevrolet (legacy automotive of columbus, llc). About getting help through my current warranty to fix the issues with the car, he was informed by [xxx], that they will not be able to provide me a loaner car per the dma. And service manager advice, with the knowledge that there is clusters are on restriction so we can not get one issue with the vehicle and that they "are on restriction so we can not get one" ([xxx], legacy automotive warranty administrator) see email above. Current situation: On July 8th, I contacted gneral motors about the recall on VIN: [xxx] and to verify that the cluster display was ordered and that the known issues was fixed. The findings are as follows: There has been more than 10 recalls on this vehicle. Still no resolution to the problem. Stationary car of only 4.5 months age, was hit in rear on 15 May 14, and was knocked 15 ft into another car. The damage appeared minor though the other car was totaled out. On 9 july14, the battery failed for no apparent reason. Impacts can damage the brittle lead cores of batteries. Warranty replaced the dead battery but it should have been done by the other driver's auto insurance company. Luckily, the battery did not catch fire but; however, when numerous batteries are inter linked, fire is a very real risk and it can occur weeks later while in the garage at home.

Two problems, 1) the fuel gauge does not accurately reflect the amount of fuel left in the tank and 2) the range reported on the instrument panel does not reflect the amount of fuel remaining. 1) visually the gauge needle does not graphically align with the tic marks showing full, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4 and low level. This makes it very hard to figure out just how much fuel is left in the tank. 2) the "range remaining" indicator tracks faster fuel use as the fuel level decreases. The last quarter tank (as shown on the visual gauge) is used up in less than 50 miles, which doesn't make sense if the full tank reads a full range of 345 miles. The range indicator does not seem to correspond to the level of fuel in the tank. With a low amount of fuel, less than a 1/4 tank, the "range remaining" indicator drops off very rapidly, within less than ten miles of distance traveled at constant speed, from a range of about 50 miles to 0 miles left. Driving on desert roads without many gas stations around, makes for a real guessing game.

After coming to a stop sign or traffic light, I will try to push my gas pedal and the Srx will move about 2 feet or so and then completely stop. This has happened 4 or 5 times and because the dealership cannot recreate the problem, they say there's nothing they can do. The Srx doesn't make any noise while pushing the pedal, it just acts as if the car is turned off. The only way to make it move again is if I change it into reverse or neutral and then back into drive. I've been almost killed at different intersections on several different occasions since I bought the car in July of 2013. The cue system is also having some issues such as the radio will completely stop working for several minutes at a time even though it shows that I'm pushing buttons to change the channel or volume. I owned a 2011 Srx before and never had this problem. I'm 8 months pregnant and afraid that I'll end up in a deadly vehicle crash. Please help!

My radio doesn't always work. It seems that I can hear the sirius radio stations but the I cannot hear the fm stations. The first time this happened was the week I purchased the car and I thought is was "operator" error since the system was very different than my previous car. I initially thought I may have inadvertently hit mute. Overtime I realized mute was not on, and that I could hear the sirius radio stations. Will be taking it to the dealership next week.

I purchased my 2013 Srx at the end of March 2013. On more than 4 occasions I have been at a stop. When I press the accelerator the car coasts slightly but does not go. I pull off the accelerator and push the accelerator again. After repeating this process, and several seconds later the vehicle will slowly move. I had it in the dealership in January and they could not find anything wrong. It has happened several times again including twice within the last week and I have scheduled another appointment for next week.

This is a report of a nearly fatal accident on June 29th, 2013 with a new Cadillac Srx that was leased from GM. The accident involved both me and my daughter who were belted in the vehicle which caught fire and accelerate to 110 mph. We were traveling on rt 127 N with the cruise control set at 60 mph. I was passing another vehicle and the speed started to dramatically increase. I would break and the speed would come down and then it would continue to rise. Black smoke was coming out of the engine. Using both feet on the brake, it finally came down to 5mph, but it would not stop. I pulled over at 5 mph and shifted the car into park. I used onstar and shortly thereafter the fire department, the sheriff, and another police officer were on the scene. This was a life threatening event!! the car was towed back to the dealership in adrian. I leased this car on 5-31-13, our second Srx and less than a month old. I sent a letter to [xxx] at GM regarding the aforementioned and have had no response. I am going on week two with no car and no resolution with this incident.
