17405 - Product Emission Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain vehicles with California emissions certification. The system that verifies that the correct catalytic converter part is installed in these vehicles was not functioning properly at the time of vehicle assembly. Because of this condition, there is a potential that the installed catalytic converter does not meet all emission system requirements. Dealers are to inspect the catalytic converter and replace if the correct part was not installed.
