My 2002 Avalanche failed the state inspection because the emergency brake would not hold. I never use the emergency brake and the inspector said the majority of the avalalache's that he checked have the same problem.

Parking/emergency brake has failed 3 times (pedal is soft, goes to floor, will not hold vehicle). Has been repaired by dealership twice, the second time with supposedly upgraded parts. Complaint pending with a.G.'s office. 8nlm
