DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE LOCKING SEATBELTS OR ONES THAT WILL NOT RETRACT AT ALL. MY PROBLEM LIES WITH THE BACK SEATS ONLY. 3 SEATBELTS AND NONE OF THEM WORK. I HAVE CONTACTED CHEVY MANY TIMES AND TO NO AVAIL. I GUESS WE WILL HAVE TO GET THE WORD OUT AND THEN FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT! I CANNOT EVEN BRING MORE THAT 2 IN THE CAR DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER WANTS $600 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. WHAT A JOKE!!! PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, THIS IS DANGEROUS, FRUSTRATING, REDICULOUS AND BEYOND COMPREHENSION THAT CHEVY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT. I WILL NEVER BUY A CHEVY AGAIN AS THEY DONT SEEM TO CARE A BIT ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!

Aveo 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

On the test drive, I sat in the back seat and mentioned to the saleslady how tight the back seat seatbelts were. You couldn't wear them w/o being choked. The car went back to the dealership a few weeks later for a recall on the rear seatbelts. Having them repaired didn't fix anything. They are still too tight and very uncomfortable for back seat passengers to wear.
