Same as many other complaints, key can not be removed from the ignition will not turn past the ACC position, dash lights fail, gauges stop responding, speedometer and mileage indicator stopped working, windows wont roll up or down, radio does not work, actually nothing electrical works, and the gear shift can not be moved without using the manual release.... all the same issues as vehicles that were recalled but after checking it says this one is not on the list. WHY NOT IF IT'S THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!

There has been a burning smell inside the vehicle, but couldn't see any sign and could not see any oil so was sure what to do. That is about when it all fell apart. First it was just a fuse for the low beam driver side but replaced that and then all the headlights, taillights, dash lights and more stopped working. Key was "stuck in ignition" and would not release to come out. Horn wouldn't work and couldn't get the gear shift to come out of park. Somehow a friend managed to get out of park and drove to the dealer for "investigation". I have never in my life heard of any car's electrical system completely going haywire at such a low mileage.

I have contacted GM since this is not the first issue I have had and I fear it won't be the last.. By far the worst vehicle I have ever had. Of course my "extended warranty" has expired after my last encounter with major car issues and now I might get stuck. Not sure what is going to come of contacting the manufacturer but it would seem that if a product is clearly a "lemon" like the Aveo has been that the manufacturer would just state that they will do something extreme to correct it..

After stopping car, it is not possible to remove key. Can start car, but have to use spare key to put car in gear. Can operate car, but once I want to end my car ride I can't the key out. During car ride, dashboard lights go off. Took it nechanic in S. Jersey,. Mechanic charged me close to $900 to replace fuse box. made zero improvement.

Ok so I got the car as a beginner car to learn how to drive in...Parents didn't want me driving the Tahoe or mustang - to be honest I don't blame them.. About a month after I got it NEW the sensors started acting up...The passenger airbag light should turn off when someone is sitting in it...50% of the time it doesn't. Ive never been in a car accident yet randomly the airbag light comes and goes on and off. Also I could have my seat belt on and randomly the seat belt light blinks that I don't have it on. Several times as well the shifter would get jammed and Id sit in a parking lot for up to an hour trying to get it out of park. (the wheel was not locked the car was on and yes my foot was on brake) the only fix to this was literally at the same time slamming my foot on the brake and pulling with all my might towards me out of park and in drive. Anyone else have this problem? I can genuinely say I CAN NOT WAIT TO TRADE IN THIS P.O.S. if it ain't one thing its another...There are plenty of other great starter cars with small blind spots but off my experience I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS BURDEN/CAR FOR ANYONE.
