I notced several times when I would stop that the vehicle would juimp forward and not completely stop. I was going to the garage to see my mechanic. My family and I were almost hit broadside when I tried to stop at a red light. When I put on the brakes I slowed down but when I got under 10mph the vehicle started to jump. The vehicle finally spopped after I was through the intersection. The mechanic told me that the front wheel bearings were worn. He said that the sensors for the ABS system were in the bearings. So when I tried to stop the ABS system kicked in. That is why I couldn't stop ! this was a very frightening experience for me and my family. This should not happen! the mechanic replaced the front wheel bearings and the vehicle seems ok now. I am concerned that this will happen again. The vehicle is only 5 yrs old.
