A chunk of approximately 2-3" blew out of the sidewall of the rear passenger tire. My daughter was driving, and she lost control after the tire blew and hit a tree head on at 45 mph. The vehicle was totaled and my daughter has multiple injuries, including a fractured kneecap, sprained jaw, disc protrusions at C6/C7 and L5/S1. She is having headaches and facial pain and a brain mri was performed yesterday. We'll have those results sometime next week. The tire was purchased in October 2013, was 20% worn and had no signs of inflation problems or signs of anything striking the tire. It was a Goodyear tire.

I had to replace both front wheel bearings in my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer within a two week period. The vehicle has only 60,000 miles on it (VIN [xxx]). each replacement cost was $238, including labor. The bearings shouldn't have needed replaced with only 60,000 miles on it. I'm very displeased with this and want to find out if this is a common problem with this vehicle. Thank you for your assistance. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The consumer received recall regarding the certification label which lowered the payload/ axle rating, the consumer had already installed a lightweight snowplow on the vehicle after the dealer referred him to the payload label on the inside of the door frame(certification label). Both front wheel bearings have gone bad and consumer feels this could be due to overload. The consumer has asked several dealers if his vehicle is overloaded and could not give him an answer.
