The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the drivers side door opened independently. The contact stated that he stopped the vehicle and noticed that the bracket was inoperative. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who was unable to determine the cause of failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000. The VIN was unavailable. Updated 5/29/14
