I have a 2010 Camaro with a V6. Every time I ride down the road, I hear a clunking noise coming from the front end. I took it to the dealer but all they say is they don't hear anything. I belong to a Camaro club and 90% of the other Camaro's do the same thing. We believe it has something to do with the struts but of course GM denies that anything is wrong. They need to do a recall before to many people get killed. We have people in our club that have 2012 Camaro's that do the same thing. Mine has done it since day 1 but like I said the dealer always says that nothing is wrong.

I own a 2010 Chevy Camaro that has a stubborn clunking sound that comes from the suspension when driving over imperfections in the road at low speeds. It sounds like it is coming from the front end but can't be sure. Does not impact performance but does not sound right either. I understand there are other complaints of this as well. It has done this since I have owned the vehicle from Dec 2009.

I purchased my 2010 Camaro, in August,2010, I noticed this front end popping noise shortly after I purchased it 300 kms, I took it to my dealer, and they checked it out, they agreed their was obvious a noise. They weren't aware of any problems with the Camaro until I mentioned the tbs # pio197 GM had in place. I went with the service tech. On a road trip and he agreed there was a noise, he followed the instructions according to the tbs, and told there is nothing they can do until GM acknowledges that there is a problem, and would have to abide by the tsb, I have been in touch with other Camaro owners who is experiencing the same problem, who have gone to their dealer and have them say it is normal. Other people that own the Camaro is not experiencing the same problem, therefore how can it be normal when all cars don't have this problem. You pay this kind of money for a vehicle and this is the service we get from GM in return, I felt that when you purchase a vehicle from GM they are is suppose to be faithful and live up to it's binding contract written in it's warranty. My first choice was to purchased a Dodge challenger, but changed my mind because I like the style a little better, but if I could changes things I would have stuck with my first choice. I will be determined to make people aware of this problem and let people/ media know that GM products/service and the quality of there product is just one big headache. And don't stand behind their product. Why don't GM acknowledge this problem and fix it and make all us happy Camaro owners, this publicity will not help the sale of GM products. Check out the forums in 5thgen. Camaro under( popping in the front end) if you want to see how many Camaro owners are experiencing this problem. My car is in winter storage at the moment with 1200 kms on it, and is hoping there will be fix in place before I take it on the road in the spring.

2010 / 2011 Chevrolet Camaro - front suspension popping / clunking noises when hitting bumps. In some cases, there were reports of the strut penetrating through the engine frame. Reference forum link: www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?T=49036 active fuel management issues when traveling at low speeds. The afm initiates prematurely causing the automobile to become sluggish and can create a serious issue when trying suddenly stop at the time the afm initiates. GM will not admit to the defects even though there have been hundreds of complaints.
