problem #1

Caprice 9C1 5.7L V8

hy,

my Caprice is running bad when the engine is cold (morning especially), the RPM stays
oscillating between 600 RPM and 1300, unstable RPM ... and after accelerations with the car stopped the rpm ..it stabilizes in 1000 RPM , but when i put on D and start riding .. the car fails and has less power at the beginning.. finally after 5 minutes running the car gets good..

reports: 1-in the morning when the engine was cold (car stopped at P) 1 time, i push the accelerator..but acceleration continued for 2 seconds after i end pushing the accelerator !but it happened just 1 time....

2- last may (2008), the problem appeared with this problem but with much more intensity at point of die constantly.., but it seems its going to be the same as the past but in the starting.... on may , i drove hard to a mechanic and the mechanic cleaned the spark plugs, the spark wires, cleaned the TBI and changed the fuel filter ...but the problem was never 100% resolved but reduced drastically ... but know its going back !

note: the spark plugs and wires are ORIGINAL , nobody never changed since 1992, but the mechanic told me that they were ok... but .. i don't know the truth ...

TODAY the engine do not die... just fails !

THANKS
