This car is a reliable car but the timing chain damper needed to be replaced because of a loud rattling sound coming from inside the timing cover area. The timing chain set and timing tensioner had to be replaced. The cost is about $700.00. I drove over 20,000 miles in this condition with no other problems but the noise was too much.
