(reported on)

Cavalier VL 2.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 77,671 miles

Went over a speed bump that wasn't painted doing about 30 kph,. Afterwards I noticed a weird crunching sound coming from my car going over a rough road, mechanic looks at it and the coil spring had snapped completely, couldn't believe it, had hardly ever seen it snap in the front before. Chevrolet dealer sold coil spring for $350!!!! The whole job cost me $500.
