Was told by another motorist during a traffic jam that my brake lights were not lighting up...any of them. Pulled off when possible with hazards flashing to a lot where I could do some simple diagnostics, all bulbs appeared intact along with wiring, all fuses intact. Able to log on and found a recall notice 09V310000 and logged onto web and schedule an internet appointment with a local dealer... No e-mail or phone call to confirm after 2hrs. Called the dealer and after confirming my VIN they informed me the VIN was not part of the recall notice and that mileage was over a extended warranty possibility, besides the point that it might take up to (2) days for them to get to my vehicle.

Called big GM main customer hotline and they basically spouted the same answer and said they could schedule me for a diagnostic at a local dealer. I informed I had already tried one dealer and since they are in recall mode I am a driving barricade for anyone right now till I can get towed somewhere. The GM rep was pleasant but not helpful and her manager could not offer a factory work order. I tried one other dealer and I guess the repair vehicle lot is getting full pretty quick since they also mentioned (2) days to possibly fix and no estimate on cost since they'd have to look it over. Anywho, am gonna park and have made a special order from the parts store to get a brake light switch and hope that will resolve the problem. If the local mechanic can't get me in, I will try DIY for now.
