4th time in the Chevrolet dealer repair shop for bad brakes. Since the truck was new I have always had to pump the brakes twice to make a normal stop. The dealer always says the problem does not exist. The are calling me a liar. I have owned dozens of cars and trucks since 1978 and never had this problem. The dealer has my truck in their shop since 4 days now and they called me today to say again "nothing is wrong".

I had an accident 4 months after I purchased the truck brand new due to the bad brakes. The brake pedal slowly goes to the floor at a long red light. General Motors is of no help! What is a warranty for?

With the soft brake pedal it's possible to depress the accelerator pedal while hitting the brakes, which get scary. A single pump of the brake pedal will bring the way above the accelerator pedal thus eliminating the safety hazzard. However, you have to think about it every time, and if you have to brake suddenly, pumping the brake is a problem since you can also hit the accelerator pedal.

I brough this to the dealership and they told me it was normal. Now I haven't driven a vehicle since the 50's and 60's where I had to pump the pedal. Thus, I believe this is abnormal. I was under the impression the American auto industry was improving its products.

A month ago I was idling across a parking lot and about to enter a roadway when I hit the brakes once. This truck did not want to stop because I was also depressing the accelerator at the same time. Luckily nothing happened, but I know somewhere in time I'm not going to be that fortunate.

This cannot be normal!

I purchased this truck brand new 7/28/2012 and the brake pedal was soft immediately. I lived with the problem for one month when I realized the brake pedal would slowly go down to the floor at a red light and the truck would begin moving forward dangerously. The Chevrolet dealer replaced the brake master cylinder at 1052 miles and the brakes are still weak with a soft brake pedal at 1200 miles. The problem is not solved and it is a dangerous vehicle to drive in heavy traffic.
