The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. While driving 70 mph, the rear driver's side tire shredded due to a crack in the rim. The vehicle was sold to the contact in February and the dealer (gray Chevrolet, 1245 N 9th St, stroudsburg, pa 18360, (866) 505-3058) stated that this type of Chevrolet rim would crack in cold weather. The vehicle was taken to gray Chevrolet (1245 N 9th St, stroudsburg, pa 18360, (866) 505-3058) where it was diagnosed that a new rim was needed. The rear driver's side rim was removed and a new one was replaced; however, after receiving the new rim, the other three rims also cracked. All four rims were replaced in March of 2018. A few months ago, the contact struck a pothole and the front driver's side rim cracked. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that all four rims needed to be replaced again. The tires were replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 780.
