Cruze ECO 1.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 62 miles

Feel heat on my knee, it's that hot that the air in the car is heaten and even on the full cold air, the air seem hot and i need to open the windows or start the A/C. Very good for an hypermiler car, open windows or A/C. And i'm in Québec, it's not 45 degrees celcius outside, it's like in the 20-35 maximum... The Service manager told me that this is due to the tubing that goes to the rear passenger foot vent... come on, it's supposed to be cold air that is blown there... so how would it heat the tubing/isolant/plastic that hot????

Cruze 1LT 1.4L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 14,000 miles

Not a problem during MI winters, but from May on, the left side of the console becomes really really hot within a minute or two after starting the engine. If the driver runs his hand down along the driver's side of the console where it meets the top seam, he will find a hole -- DO NOT ACCIDENTLY PUT YOU FINGER IN THE HOLE UNLESS YOU WANT A BADLY BLISTERED FINGER!! As it is, because the Cruze is a compact car, the driver's calf will touch or lay against the console whenever driving; after a very short period, the driver's calf will feel like it has been parboiled. I have an appointment for a steering recall and will bring this to the attention of the Service Manager.

Cruze LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

The panel next to accelerator gets very hot any time it's runs. Chevrolet says the heat is there because the heater core in in that area and they told me they will not fix it!

I would have never bought the car if I had know about this problem. I consider it flawed by the design of a stupid engineer. I have put the sign "FLAWED" ON THE BACK WINDOW! It is definately a love/hate relationship - love the mileage - hate the heat. Cannot wait for someone to ask me how I like it - I promise they will not buy one after talking to me, I hope people see the sign and steer away to other cars. Hate chevrolet and all it stands for! It could have been great except for this damn heat!
