Cruze Lowest Eco

  • Manual transmission
  • 46,000 miles

Loved the car itself, but it was a lemon. Owner had died, had low miles in the low 20's and I babied the clutch. I driven clutches all my life.

Cruze LT 2L

  • Manual transmission
  • 8 miles

This is with reference to my purchase of Cruze LTZ TN 07 BK 8283 at KLN motors Chennai in February 2011. Right from my first service which was after 8000 KM, I complained on the clutch hardness and reported to the service adviser Mr. Rajasekar. The problem has not been solved till date 2015 and persists, despite several attempts to explain the problem to the dealer. Please note, from the date of purchase of the vehicle till date and I assume that the vehicle has not gone through a QC testing. KLN changed the clutch and the vehicle had now done 20000 km after changing of clutch. suddenly last week 11th of june i encountered clutch is not in action. The problem is not solved and the vehicle is in KLN ieekattuthangal service station.

With least expectations of such failure of your parts in a sedan, I have purchased your vehicle. You are unable to address my problem for over 4 years now and the GM motor brand value and service is extremely poor. The company is unable to address the customer needs and is not able to keep up good will of the customer. I have been denied proper service from your end. I have been put to hardship, mentally stressed and great disappointment . This is a major safety issue as the clutch is not in a proper condition and have had a number of near miss which I have escalated to KLN motors a number of times. The company has to take this issue seriously and resolve the problem at the earliest possible. I trust the good will of the customer will be maintained by the GM motors.

Yesterday I received a call from KLN motors, one Mr. Purushotaman (98884000248) asking if I would like to sell the vehicle, just to make sure they are out of this issue. Is this the way the GM Motor has trained their dealers? When my vehicle is under service in the same service station, how could the executive call me for an exchange? It is to indicate to me that there is no use in holding this vehicle. Your company’s ‘Trust and Credibility’ under a question mark?

I would like to conclude that take this issue seriously and resolve the problem at the earliest possible. I would expect the company to call back my vehicle and do a complete replacement because I know for a fact that my issue is not going to get addressed due to the quality of the vehicle build.

Cruze ECO

  • Manual transmission
  • 47,000 miles

I bought my Cruze new used from a Chevy dealer with around 24,000 miles on it. It was about a year old when I got it. It now has 46,000 and it needs a new clutch. I thought it was bazaar until I did some research on the lifespan of the Cruze's clutch. I found out that my clutch lasted longer then a lot of other people. When I took it to the dealer where I got it from (because it is still under warranty) it was $2,200. Judging by the way, the speed, and the confidence of the answer, it is a very safe assumption that the model wears down the clutch fast. The model has only been around since 2011. The car is fun to drive, is nimble, and saves on gas. Only if I knew sooner that this is a common problem among Cruze owners, I would of passed up on the offer and kept the beater with poor speakers and no heat.

Cruze LT 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 28,203 miles

I have also bought a CHEVY cruze LT in septemebre 2011.

CLUTCH has failed in décembre 2012 : Around 45 000 km.

Customer service says that is not taken in charge because they cannot give a définite age or limit for a clutch (saying of course that it dépendes on the driver.

For me its about 25000 euros!

I have purchased this Chevrolet Cruze on 7/20/2011 i.e. 3 months back and now there is the problem with the clutch which in not getting repaired under warranty and I am facing lots of problems. Please anyone can help me to solve the problem where to claim and get the car repaired. The cost for repairing is quite high which cannot be bared in just 3 months of time of purchased of vehicle.
